It's hard to believe its week twelve already. I'm excited and nervous about my flipped lesson plan. I went a bit overboard creating it from scratch. The important thing is once I have everyone's feedback I will be able to add or take away from it. This week I've had the opportunity to spend a lot of time in my clinical classroom. I will be performing my monologue and my literacy in class on Friday. I plan on filming with my new tripod that I purchased of amazon. We shall see how well this little twenty dollar item works. This week has been super busy with all the lesson plans from all four classes coming to an end. I hope to finish my weekly classwork to allow more time on the projects I've been working on this semester. I've put up a TOTW from a popular film. I also put out there one about helpful apps. For ELL students and one about aliens. Yes, aliens. Please check it out it's very interesting and can make for a fun activity. For my standard I would chose this week "Teachers know the content they teach." This applies to my clinical experience this week. I will need to know the content that I am teaching to have a successful lesson.

  1. Chris,
I really like your tripod idea for your ipad. It is so much better then trying to adjust the ipad with books. I know the students in my assigned class would love an app on ailens, since they are currently working on a space unit. Whatever theme the teacher can get to meet the students level of interest will help engage them more in the classroom. I hope your time in the classroom goes good for you. I know you will do great.

  2. Chris, Don't forget that you can also ask your CE to record for you too. Now that you have had some additional experience with lesson planning, what have you learned? What will you change as you move forward?
